Toyota 4Runner
I bought this truck in August 2004 for a daily driver since
the A/C works. But when I got it, it needed a bit of work. It was
sitting for a few months. It was sold in December 2006 to make room
for the Lightning. 5 speed transmission 4 wheel drive The work I did to it: New battery and cables New primary wire All new gaskets (including head gasket) New timing chain, gears, tensioner Rebuilt cylinder head (new valves/seals) New cam New head bolts New fuel and oil filters New spark plugs New distributor cap and rotor New belts New catalytic convertor Fixed the driver's side door mechanism Fixed the dash clock Waxed the oxidation out of the paint Replaced a tire New harmonic balancer The story of my experience with the 22R-E engine is here. Update 09/04/2004: After installing a new harmonic balancer to get rid of a huge oil leak, I took it through emissions. Loaded HC: 10/220 (reading/limit) Loaded CO: 0%/1.20 Idle HC: 9/220 Idle CO: 0%/1.20 I guess the two weeks paid off. ;)
